Why, when we talk about a woman's accomplishments, is it still necessary to factor in her looks? I know, how dare I ask such a silly question. Especially in 2011. Also, if you're a self-proclaimed "male" feminist, yet you can't drop the derogatory language when identifying women, you're sexist. And an asshole for fronting otherwise. Your coddling "I love women because they do neat stuff" language is worse than obligatory sexist remarks. Why? Because it gives you the shield of my feminist empowerment for you to hide behind, and there isn't enough room behind the work I do for the both of us. So get the fuck out or get honest with yourself about your issues with powerful women. We're scary, terrifying individuals, I know.
I believe that's what a world now identified by it's hashtags calls #realtalk.
